LSU has been dishing out a flurry of new offers lately during the NCAA’s Evaluation Period, and another quarterback has been added to that list.
Class of 2020 Louisiana pro-style passer T.J. Finley reported an offer from the in-state Tigers on Friday night.
Finley measures up at 6-foot-5 and 205 pounds and plays for Hammond-area power St. Thomas Aquinas High School. Last summer, the quarterback participated in LSU’s satellite camp in New Orleans along with teammate Dustin Dyson. Both prospects spoke with former Tigers head coach Les Miles after the camp.
That conversation translated into an official offers on Friday evening.
Finley visited LSU for the Tigers’ annual spring game last month and is just the 15th recruit in the 2020 class to procure an offer from the team and the third quarterback. Finley has enjoyed a very eventful spring, landing overtures from the likes of Arkansas, Memphis and Tulane, among others.
LSU currently does not hold a commitment from a quarterback in its 2018, 2019 or 2020 recruiting classes. Finley is the first in-state quarterback and only the second prospect from Louisiana to hold an offer from the Tigers, along with Dyson, his teammate and 4-star tight end.
