Kern County coroner’s officials say Gilbert Thomas Gutierrez of Phoenix, Arizona, was killed in Thursday’s crash. A Canadian man who led the 2012 heist of millions of dollars worth of maple syrup received an eight-year prison sentence and multi-million dollar fine on Friday. An FBI agent was shot and injured while trying to serve a warrant in Atlanta, authorities said on Friday. The agent was shot trying to serve an arrest warrant at a home, FBI Special Agent Stephen Emmett told the Associated Press.
